People throw around the idea that nobody’s watching, and i understand why. It’s meant to free you from worrying about what everyone else thinks. But i don’t think it’s true.
I think somebody is watching.
It might be one person. It might be a stranger who notices the strain in your face and recognizes you’re carrying something you haven’t spoken about. It might be someone who’s been quietly following your journey, waiting to see if it’s possible to rebuild their own life too.
We spend so much time believing our choices only affect us, when in reality the way we respond to hardship has a way of giving other people permission to do the same. You never really know who’s drawing courage from the way you keep showing up.
So you might as well have the difficult conversation, start over, stay hopeful, and keep becoming the person you know you’re capable of becoming.
Someone out there is rooting for your story, even if they never tell you.
